Borderline Personality as Social Phenomena:
An interdisciplinary study
Narrative interviews: An invitation to participate in research
Do you identify with or been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder* (BPD)
Are you over 18 years old?
Then we would like to hear from you and hear what your experience has been like!
*We acknowledge that there are multiple understandings of BPD and that people with lived experience have different views and understandings about BPD diagnosis, ways of relating to their experience and might embrace a number of diverse ways of thinking about this. We are inclusive of people who have received a formal diagnosis, people who identify aspects of their lived experience with symptoms usually associated with/labelled as BPD and people who feel critical of a diagnosis.
This research project, conducted by RMIT University and partner organisations, is interested in exploring your lived experience, the care and support provided to you, including what this experience was like, how you think about your well-being and views about the future.
We would also like to hear your views on what forms of support should be made available and who should provide these.
Why?
The information that we gather will be used to develop online resources and creative arts-based outputs. These resources will inform the design and delivery of mental health and allied health services, improve the psychosocial supports available to people living with (a diagnosis of) BPD, their families and social networks, improve public awareness and contribute to policy development in this area.
Where?
We are conducting interviews online using Zoom and face-to-face depending on individual preference and relevant COVID-19 guidelines. We can set up a date and time that works best for you.
